Foreign Minister of Suriname and Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba held a meeting to review bilateral issues.

Paramaribo, February 18. On Thursday morning, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation, Albert Ramdin, held a cordial meeting with the Cuban Ambassador to Suriname, Igor Azcuy González. During the meeting, bilateral issues were reviewed, among them, Cuban medical cooperation in Suriname and its challenges; the scholarships that Cuba offers annually, and the preparations for an upcoming visit by Minister Ramdin to the Island, in which he will be accompanied by the Minister of Health, Amar Ramadhim. At the meeting, it was agreed to closely monitor the issues raised by the Cuban Ambassador on medical cooperation in Suriname. Likewise, the good state of bilateral relations and close coordination on multilateral issues were highlighted.
