Freetown, August 19, 2024. Ambassador Norma Sánchez Águila, Chargé d'Affaires, embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Sierra Leone, received a courtesy visit from Honorable Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie, Minister of Higher and Technical Education of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
At the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy, both parties held a cordial meeting, in which they highlighted the ties of solidarity that unite both nations and ratified the will to work together to promote bilateral relations in the political, economical and cooperation fields in the formation and development of human capital.
The diplomat thanked Honorable Mrs. Haja Ramatulai Wurie for her visit, reiterating her gratitude for the solidarity of the Sierra Leonean people with the Cuban people in their fight against the unjust and cruel economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba for more than 60 years.
