Head of Cuban Diplomatic Mission Receives Courtesy Visit from Delegation of the University of Makeni

Freetown, August 25, 2025 – At the Cuban Embassy in Sierra Leone, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Norma Sánchez Águila, received a courtesy visit from a delegation from the University of Makeni, led by the University's Registry Director, Mr. Foday Augustin Bangura.

During the cordial meeting, both parties highlighted the bonds of solidarity that unite both nations and reaffirmed their willingness to work together to promote relations between universities and establish academic and cooperative ties for the development of human capital.

The meeting was also attended by Ms. Mercy Mwaura, Director of International Relations, and Mr. Mattew Kanu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Computer Science.
