Mayor of Makeni receives Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Sierra Leone

Makeni, September 23, 2025. The mayor of Makeni, Abubakarr Lamtales, received the Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission, Ambassador Norma Sánchez Águila, with whom he held a fluid dialogue on various topics of interest.

During the discussion, the mayor provided a summary of the municipality's efforts to improve the living conditions of Makeni residents.

Both officials referred to aspects of interest within the framework of cooperation, on which occasion the mayor mentioned the praiseworthy and humanitarian work of Cuban doctors during the fight against Ebola and the COVID-19 pandemic in Sierra Leone.
