Organized by the “José Martí” Solidarity with Cuba Cultural Association, a meeting was held in Athens to deepen the thought of the Apostle of the Independence of Cuba, José Martí, and Contemporary Latin America.
The event, held at the Faculty of Law of the Kapodistrian University of Athens, was attended by a large audience, who received with great interest the presentations presented by professors Carlos Eddy Simon Forcade, professor of Art History and Theory of Art. Culture, Dimitrios Kaltsonis, professor of Theory of State and Law and Kostas Isichos, National Coordinator of the Greek Chapter of the Network in Defense of Humanity (REDH).
On behalf of the “José Martí” Solidarity with Cuba Cultural Association, the coordinator of its Board of Directors Alekos Chalvatzis spoke and also the Ambassador of the Island in Athens, Aramís Fuente Hernández, greeted the event. All the speakers highlighted the validity of the thought and legacy of the Cuban hero and his significance for the present and future of the political processes and the struggle of the people of our America.
