Valletta, July 24, 2025.- This morning, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Cuban Ministry of Tourism and the Maltese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism. The Cuban Party was represented by the concurrent ambassador, Mirta Granda Averhoff, while the Maltese Party was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Christopher Cutajar.
This new agreement will strengthen bilateral ties between both countries as well as joint initiatives promoting the potential of both islands as attractive tourist destinations. The document includes the exchange of publications and thematic materials, missions involving specialists on this field, cooperation in vocational training, and other issues of mutual interest.
The ceremony was part of the ambassador's annual visit to Malta, during which she holds various meetings with government authorities, solidarity movements, businessmen, and Cuban residents in the country.
