The president of the United Mexican States, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, will arrive in Cuba this Saturday, May 7, on a working visit.
AMLO will hold talks with Cuban authorities and carry out other activities.
The Mexican president has repeatedly denounced the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, has described our people as a moral and resistance reference and has recently demanded that Cuba and other Latin American nations not be excluded from the next Summit of the Americas, to be held in Los Angeles.
According to the planned agenda, López Obrador will honor the National Hero José Martí in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Subsequently, President Miguel Díaz-Canel will offer the visitor an official welcome, a prelude to the talks between the two heads of state and the signing of bilateral agreements.
