Amberes 12 de marzo.- El embajador Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios participó esta tarde en la proyección y debate del documental “La fábrica del odio contra Cuba”. El audiovisual, realizado por el destacado intelectual colombiano Hernando Calvo Ospina, fue presentado en el Centro Cultural Peperfabriek, en la ciudad de Amberes.
El evento fue una iniciativa conjunta del Capítulo belga de la Red de Intelectuales y Artistas en Defensa de la Humanidad y de la organización Masereelfonds. En este contexto, se dieron cita más de cuarenta personas, entre los que se encontraban el propio realizador del documental, integrantes del movimiento de solidaridad con Cuba, cubanos residentes en Bélgica, funcionarios de la misión diplomática cubana, entre otros.
En su intervención, el embajador agradeció el permanente acompañamiento y la solidaridad hacia la Mayor de las Antillas. Reiteró también la convicción del pueblo y Gobierno cubanos de defender y perfeccionar nuestro modelo social socialista y enfatizó en que, frente a la agresiva política estadounidense, los cubanos sabremos ser consecuentes con la obra revolucionaria.
Con esa actividad, culminó la intensa jornada de trabajo desarrollada por los diplomáticos cubanos en esa ciudad de la región flamenca, cuyo programa incluyó visitas a la Casa del Habano de Amberes y al Instituto de Medicina Tropical.

Antwerp, March 12.- Ambassador Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios participated this afternoon in the screening and discussion of the documentary “The Factory of Hatred against Cuba”. The audiovisual, made by the prominent Colombian intellectual Hernando Calvo Ospina, was presented at the Peperfabriek Cultural Center, in the city of Antwerp.
The event was a joint initiative of the Belgian Chapter of the Network of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity and the organization Masereelfonds. In this context, more than forty people attended, including the filmmaker himself, members of the Cuba solidarity movement, Cubans living in Belgium, officials of the Cuban diplomatic mission, among others.
In his speech, the ambassador thanked the permanent accompaniment and solidarity towards the largest of the Antilles. He also reiterated the conviction of the Cuban people and government to defend and perfect our socialist social model and emphasized that, in the face of the aggressive U.S. policy, Cubans will know how to be consistent with the revolutionary work.
This activity was the culmination of an intense day of work carried out by Cuban diplomats in that city in the Flemish region, whose program included visits to the Habano House in Antwerp and the Institute of Tropical Medicine.
