Sierra Leone Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Doctors Who Graduated in Cuba

Freetown, September 17, 2025. At the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Sierra Leone, the Honorable Alhaji Timothy Musa Kabba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received the Sierra Leonean doctors who are beneficiaries of the scholarship program granted by the Government of Cuba to Sierra Leone, Dr. Joe Amara Koroma, Cardiology Specialist, with a Master's Degree in Echo, Dr. Aissatou Sow, Specialist in Gastroenterology and Pathology, and Dr. Adama Sesay, General Physician.

Also present at the fruitful exchange were the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Sierra Leone, Norma Sánchez Águila; the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Alan Charles Logan; and the Deputy Director of the Americas and Asia-Pacific, Ms. Rachel Kanu.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Honorable Alhaji Timothy Musa Kabba, thanked Cuba for the training of its professionals in the health sector.

For her part, the Cuban diplomat expressed her willingness to continue strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation.
