Freetown, November 25, 2025. Friends of Cuba in Sierra Leone highlighted the values, thought, and immortal example of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, at an event organized to commemorate the ninth anniversary of his passing.
Following a brief presentation by the Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Sierra Leone, Norma Sánchez Águila, the documentary "Fidel Is Fidel" was screened. This film compiles valuable photographic and audiovisual testimonies inspired by the personality of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, brought to us by filmmaker Roberto Chile.
The gathering, marked by numerous expressions of affection for Cuba, was attended by members of the Hugo Chávez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship, and Solidarity, representatives of the Sierra Leone Student Friendship Association, and graduates of Cuban universities.
