More than six decades after Cuba liberated itself from the dictates of US hegemony, it is still being punished severely for being so defiant, right under Uncle Sam’s nose.

On the morning of February 25, 2026, a violating speedboat was detected within Cuban territorial waters. The vessel, registered in Florida, United States, with registration number FL7726SH, approached up to 1 nautical mile northeast of the El Pino channel, in Cayo Falcones, Corralillo municipality, Villa Clara province.

Ha surgido una dictadura en el mundo globalizado. El orden nacido de la II Guerra Mundial para evitar una tercera, está siendo destruido. Se atacan sus fundamentos, el Derecho Internacional, las Naciones Unidas y las organizaciones del sistema internacional y se proclama “la filosofía del despojo” como el derecho excepcional y supremo de los Estados Unidos de América a la conquista y el uso de la fuerza como una forma de ser inmanente, natural y cotidiana.
El Grupo de Amigos en Defensa de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas, en ocasión de su Reunión de Alto Nivel celebrada hoy 23 de febrero de 2026 en Ginebra, Suiza, acordó la siguiente Declaración de solidaridad con Cuba y rechazo a la escalada del criminal cerco económico impuesto por el gobierno de los Estados Unidos contra esa hermana nación.
The decision adopted by the United States on January 29 to declare Cuba a threat to its national security and foreign policy, along with the imposition of a total oil embargo, constitutes a new and brutal attack against the island's sovereignty. This measure is part of a decades-long strategy, implemented through economic sanctions, political pressure, and the criminalization of the Cuban Revolution's political project of social justice and humanism.
