US Military Deployment in the Caribbean Sea Threatens the Region Under Absurd Pretexts

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Cuban Government strongly rejects the current deployment of United States military forces in the Caribbean Sea. This dangerous action represents a serious threat and an aggressive show of force against the sovereignty and self-determination of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. Furthermore, it ignores the commitment of the 33 Member States of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States when they proclaimed the region as a Zone of Peace.

Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission Pays Courtesy Visit to the Algerian Ambassador to Sierra Leone

Freetown, August 28, 2025. Norma Sánchez Águila, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Sierra Leone, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Mr. Hachem Abdelhafid, Ambassador of Algeria to Sierra Leone.
The Cuban diplomat thanked Ambassador Hachem Abdelhafid for the opportunity to meet and provided an update on bilateral issues of interest. In this regard, she expressed her gratitude for Algeria's historic vote in favor of the Cuban resolution against the blockade within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly.

Realiza Jefa de la Misión diplomática cubana visita cortesía al Embajador de Argelia en Sierra Leona

Freetown, 28 de agosto de 2025.Norma Sánchez Águila, Embajadora de la República de Cuba en Sierra Leona, realizó una la visita de cortesía al Excelentísimo Sr.  Hachem Abdelhafid, Embajador de Argelia en Sierra Leona.

La diplomática cubana agradeció al Embajador Hachem Abdelhafid por la posibilidad de sostener el encuentro y le ofreció una actualización de los temas de interés en el ámbito bilateral. En este sentido agradeció el voto histórico de Argelia a favor de la resolución cubana en contra del bloqueo, en el marco de la Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas.
