Havana, July 20, 2020 - The 38 collaborators of the Cuban medical brigade that for three months fought against the COVID-19 in Turin, region of Piedmont, Italy, have arrived back to Cuba. At 4:58 p.m. this Monday, the plane that brought the specialists to Havana's José Martí International Airport touched down. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel welcomed the medical professionals back home via a remote video-conference.
Cuba está comprometida con bienestar de su infancia, afirma canciller.
La Habana, 19 de julio de 2020 (Prensa Latina). La Habana, 19 de julio de 2020.- El ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, afirmó este domingo que el Gobierno de su país está comprometido con los derechos de la infancia, su bienestar y pleno desarrollo.
A propósito de celebrarse en la isla el Día de los Niños, el canciller escribió en su cuenta de Twitter: "Los niños son la esperanza del mundo y nuestro mayor tesoro".

Cuba defends fair causes in Human Rights Council.
Geneva, Switzerland, Jul 18, 2020.- Cuba defended the sovereignty of peoples and the fight against poverty and climate change at the 44th regular session of the Human Rights Council, a forum held here from June 30 to July 17.
Cuba's young diplomats denounced in the forum of the UN body of 47 member states the campaigns against their country and Venezuela, carried out by manipulating the human rights issue as a spearhead, and the attempt to legitimize or hide Israel's crimes in occupied Palestine.
Cuban government reports on new economic measures.
Havana, July 17, 2020-- This Thursday, in an extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers, the economic-social strategy to boost the economy and face the global crisis caused by the COVID-19 was approved.
At the meeting, the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, made an important speech, which is broadcast on the Round Table program.
Since last May, the Council of Ministers adopted a strategy of preparation to face the current world situation and, as far as possible, to continue transforming the economic and social model of the country.
