Cuban Ambassador Presents Credentials to the President of Sierra Leone

Freetown, June 5, 2025 – In a solemn ceremony held this Thursday at The State House in Freetown, Ambassador Norma Sánchez Aguila presented to His Excellency Retired Brigadier Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, the Letters of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Sierra Leone

During the brief meeting, the Cuban diplomat conveyed to President Julius Maada Bio her willingness to work for the development of bilateral relations and cooperative ties in sectors of common interest.

Director of Multilaterals Division receives the Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Sierra Leone

Freetown, February 11, 2025. Norma Sánchez Águila, Chargé d'Affaires, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Sierra Leone, was received at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation by the Director of the Multilateral Division, Ambassador Zainu Deen Sanusi.

Both officials reviewed the state of bilateral relations, the possibilities of cooperation and the coincidence of positions in the international multilateral arena.

Freetown, January 16, 2025. Norma Sánchez Águila, Chargé d'Affaires, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Sierra Leone, received a courtesy visit from Dr. Charles Senessie, Deputy minister of Health 1 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

Majority and Leader of Government Business of the House of Parliament receives the Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Freetown.

Freetown, September 11, 2024. The Cuban Chargé d'Affaires, Ambassador Norma Sánchez Águila was received at the headquarters of the House of Parliament of the Republic of Sierra Leona by the Majority and Leader of Government Business of the Parliament of Sierra Leone, Hon. Mathew Sahr Nyuma.

 In a cordial meeting, both parties highlighted the ties of solidarity that unite both nations and ratified the will to work together to promote bilateral, parliamentarian relations in the political, economic and cooperation fields in the training and development of human capital.
