Rome, June 30, 2023 - The Minister of Agriculture, Ydael Pérez Brito, arrived in Italy to participate in the 43rd session of the FAO Conference, which will take place from July 1 to 7 in this capital.
The Conference, the supreme decision-making body that brings together all the Members of the Organization, will focus on "The State of Food and Agriculture: Integrated Water Resources Management".
Cuba, a founding member of FAO, will reiterate its commitment to achieving the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, through the transformation of agrifood systems.
During his stay, Pérez Brito will hold meetings with FAO Director-General QU Dongyu; counterparts; and managers of the Italian company Lavazza.
The Cuban delegation also includes representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Trade and Agriculture, as well as officials of the Cuban Embassy in Italy.
