En calidad de Enviado Especial del Primer Secretario del Comité Central del Partido y Presidente de la República, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, el miembro del Buró Político y ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, fue recibido este sábado, en Audiencia en el Vaticano, por el Papa León XIV.
Así lo refirió el canciller cubano, a través de su cuenta en la Red Social X, quien agradeció profundamente a Su Santidad el honor de la visita en la Santa Sede:

The Cuban diplomat took the opportunity to explain in detail the difficult economic situation her country is going through, due to the systematic intensification of the blockade by President Trump's administration with the clear intention of suffocating the Caribbean island through an oil and trade embargo, which includes threats of sanctions against third countries that trade with Cuba.

The vessel, registered in Florida, United States, with registration number FL7726SH, approached up to 1 nautical mile northeast of the El Pino channel, in Cayo Falcones, Corralillo municipality, Villa Clara province.

Freetown, February 26, 2024. On Thursday morning, the Cuban Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Her Excellency Ms. Norma Sánchez Águila, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Mr. Zhao Yong, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Sierra Leone.
During the fraternal meeting, both sides reviewed the historic ties of friendship and cooperation that unite the two nations, referring also to the excellent state of bilateral relations after 65 years of diplomatic relations.

STATEMENT FROM THE SIERRA LEONE - CUBAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION (SALCUBA) IN RESPECT OF US BLOCKADE OF FUEL SUPPLIES TO CUBA.
It is quite disheartening to learn that the USA government imposed a total blockade of fuel supplies to Cuba in recent times, and also threatened to impose trade tariffs on imports of products from countries that supply oil to the Caribbean nation.
