Freetown, September 28. – The Deputy Director of the Multilateral Division of Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Alex Sheriff, received the Cuban Ambassador, Ms. Norma Sánchez Águila, at the headquarters of the Sierra Leonean Foreign Ministry.
STATEMENT BY SECOND SECRETARY AIMÉ TRIANA, REPRESENTATIVE OF CUBA, AT THE ADOPTION OF THE UNIVERSAL PERIODIC REVIEW OF SIERRA LEONE.
Mr. President,
We warmly greet the delegation of Sierra Leone. We recognize the country's involvement in the Universal Periodic Review.
We appreciate the fact that Sierra Leone accepted 271 recommendations during the Review. We are pleased that the three respectful and constructive recommendations made by Cuba have been accepted.
We wish that country success in implementing the accepted recommendations and support the adoption of the report.

Saludamos cordialmente a la delegación de Sierra Leona. Reconocemos el involucramiento del país en el Examen Periódico Universal.
Valoramos positivamente que Sierra Leona haya aceptado 271 recomendaciones durante el Examen. Nos satisface que las tres recomendaciones respetuosas y constructivas realizadas por Cuba hayan sido aceptadas.
Deseamos éxitos a ese país en la implementación de las recomendaciones aceptadas y apoyamos la adopción del informe.
