10,000 euros worth of medicines donated to Cuba from Austria
Vienna, March 19. The Communist Party of Austria in Styria (KPÖ Steiermark) and the Communist Youth of Austria (@kommunistischejugend) made a donation of medicines worth 10,000 euros, which are already in Cuba as part of the Convoy Nuestra América, an international initiative that will converge in Havana on March 21 to deliver material aid to the Cuban people.
These Austrian political organizations have been actively engaged in political and material solidarity with the island, particularly following the intensification of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States, stemming from the new measures implemented after the U.S. President’s Executive Order of January 29, 2026.
As part of this solidarity effort, two young Austrians traveled to Havana on behalf of the KPÖ and the KJÖ, with the aim of expressing their support for the Cuban people and participating in the activities organized in connection with the arrival of the Nuestra América Convoy in the Cuban capital.
The Cuban Embassy in Austria deeply appreciates this gesture of solidarity from the Communist Party of Austria and its youth, which once again demonstrates the Austrian solidarity movement’s commitment to the just cause of the Cuban people in their struggle for sovereignty and socialism.
