To the parliamentarians, parliaments, and interparliamentary organizations:
The members of the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of People’s Power of the Republic of Cuba reject the new Executive Order issued by the President of the United States, which intensifies the economic war and aims to further heighten the illegal and immoral collective punishment inflicted upon the Cuban people.
Friends of Cuba:
Today, May 1st, we gather here in the same spirit that inspires Cuban workers on our island. In Cuba, since the early hours of the morning, International Workers’ Day has been celebrated with parades and events in every workplace, town, municipality, and province, with the prudence we have had to adopt in the face of the restrictions imposed by the intensified blockade.
Vienna, May 1, 2026.—The Austrian-Cuban Friendship Society (ÖKG) called for a march in support of Cuba as part of the celebrations for International Workers’ Day in Austria. In a joint initiative with the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ), the Workers’ Party (PdA), and their youth organizations KJÖ and Jugendfront, this call was also extended to the cities of Graz, Salzburg, Linz, and Klagenfurt.
