Cuba reiterates the importance of the IAEA's work as guarantor of the non-proliferation regime

Statement by Armando Rodríguez Batista, Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment of the Republic of Cuba, to the plenary session of the 69th General Conference of the IAEA

Mr. President,

The Cuban delegation congratulates you on your election to chair this session of the 69th General Conference of the IAEA, as well as the other members of the Bureau, and reaffirms our continued willingness to contribute to the success of this Conference.

Minister of CITMA arrives in Vienna to participate in IAEA General Conference

Vienna, September 15—The Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment of the Republic of Cuba, Dr. Armando Rodríguez Batista, arrived in Vienna on Monday evening to head the Cuban delegation participating in the 69th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is taking place from September 15 to 19, 2025. 

Cuban ambassador holds meeting at Vienna City Hall

Vienna, September 10, 2025.-The Cuban ambassador to Austria, Pablo Berti Oliva, paid a working visit to Vienna City Hall, where he met with Mr. Thomas Resch and Ms. Evelyn Wenighofer, both from the Europe and International Affairs Group of the Municipal Director's Office.

The meeting allowed for the resumption and revitalization of relations between the Cuban Embassy and the Vienna city government. During the conversation, various avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation were explored.

Cuban Ambassador strengthens ties with Communist Party of Austria

Vienna, September 5, 2025.- The Cuban Ambassador to Austria, Pablo Berti Oliva, held a strategic meeting with comrade Günther Hopfgartner, Federal Spokesperson for the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ), in an effort to strengthen party cooperation between the two nations.
