Homage to the Apostle reiterates the need for Latin American unity

Vienna, January 28- The Cuban Embassy in Austria, together with friends of the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG), Cuban residents and the Latin American diplomatic corps in Vienna, paid homage to José Martí on the occasion of the 172nd anniversary of his birth.

During the ceremony held at the Plaza de los Próceres Latinoamericanos, on the banks of the Danube River, the attendees recalled the legacy of the greatest Cuban and reiterated their call for a united America.

US President Donald Trump has reversed the recent removal of Cuba from the US terror list - and thus intensified the already massive repression against the socialist island state. Just a few days ago, Joe Biden had removed Cuba's classification as a so-called “terrorist supporter” as a “gesture of goodwill”. But as soon as he was sworn in, Trump reversed this step in a series of decrees.

Condemnation of the Socialist Workers Party of Croatia (PSR) to the United States for reintroducing Cuba's status as a sponsor of terrorism and the continuation of the blockade.

The Socialist Workers' Party of Croatia (SRP) strongly condemns the decision of the United States of America to re-introduce Cuba to the list of state sponsors of terrorism, as well as the continuation of the inhumane economic, trade and financial blockade of Cuba. This decision, made by the Donald Trump administration at the very beginning of its mandate, represents an unjust and politically motivated measure directed against the sovereignty of the Cuban people and their right to independent development.
