Solidarity means class struggle! Defend the Cuban Revolution!

Statement by the Executive Committee of the Austrian Labor Party (PdA) in view of the recent US attacks against Cuba, Vienna, February 5, 2026

Just a few weeks after the 67th anniversary of the victorious Cuban Revolution, the existence of the socialist republic is seriously threatened. In the course of the reorganization of the world by the imperialist hegemonic power, the United States, the Trump administration has once again explicitly put the implementation of counterrevolution in Cuba and its subordination on the agenda.

KOMintern Statement: Solidarity with Cuba, threatened by the United States

As an Austrian trade union organization, we strongly condemn the US government's latest criminal aggression against Cuba. The US escalation aims to prevent the supply of oil, which is essential for life, to the island and thus provoke a humanitarian crisis among the population.

The US wants to provoke a crisis in Cuba through its criminal and unjust policy of economic, commercial, and financial blockade. For more than six decades, the United States has waged this war against Cuba and believes it can deliver the “final blow” through hunger and misery.

Cuba denounces new aggressive escalation by the United States at the UN in Vienna

Vienna, February 3. Cuba today denounced, at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, the most recent and serious escalation of the hostile policy of the United States Government, describing it as a “brutal act of aggression.”

The statement was made by Karlen Regaiferos, Second Secretary of the Cuban Mission, during the 63rd session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee (SCCT) of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS).

Austrian Communist Party (KPÖ) condemns new US aggression against Cuba

Vienna, February 3. The Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ) has issued a strong statement rejecting the new escalation of coercive measures by the United States against Cuba, describing the recent order for a total blockade on oil imports as an attempt to “finally strangle the small Caribbean island.”
