Port of Spain, January 1st, 2025. Last night, the Cuban State Mission in Trinidad and Tobago celebrated the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution. A representation of the Cuban Medical Brigade (BMC) working in the country, along with the staff of the Embassy, welcomed the arrival of the new year.
During the political and cultural event, healthcare professionals highlighted the achievements of the revolutionary process despite current challenges. The concept of Revolution, as articulated by our Historic Leader, Fidel Castro, in May 2000, was recalled, and poems commemorating the date were recited.
Dr. Orlando Gómez, the national coordinator of the BMC, emphasized confidence in the Revolution, commitment to our homeland, and the need to defend it.
The event concluded with remarks from Cuban Ambassador Gustavo Véliz Olivares, who underscored the importance of fulfilling the commitment made in Cuba while representing our country in Trinidad and Tobago.
