Statement by Mr. Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Republic of Cuba, during the High-Level Segment of the Fifty Eigth Session of the Human Rights Council. Geneva, February 24, 2025.

Mr. President;

The right to life is in serious danger. The United Nations Charter, International Law, and multilateralism are been threatened. There attempts intending to impose economic coercion and political subversion as methods to establish international relations.  This is not only immoral but also illegal.

Cuban Embassy participates in Spanish Day at San Juan North Secondary School

Port of Spain, February 21, 2025. Counselor Leydis Bernal represented the Cuban Embassy at the Spanish Day celebration held at the "San Juan North" secondary school.

During the event, the Counselor had a fruitful exchange with the students about Cuba, its reality, traditions, and culture. Images of the terrorist actions suffered by our people were shown, as well as the injustice of Cuba's inclusion in the infamous List of State Sponsors of Terrorism. Additionally, the impact of the U.S. blockade measures on the cultural sector was explained.

Meeting held with the Chancellor of Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain, February 11th, 2025. Yesterday afternoon, the Cuban Ambassador, Gustavo Véliz Olivares, held a meeting with the Honorable Senator Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign Affairs and CARICOM Affairs, and Reita Toussaint, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The cordial exchange provided an opportunity to share a brief update on the coercive measures imposed by the new U.S. administration against Cuba. Both parties expressed their willingness to expand bilateral ties and strengthen cooperation in other areas, such as migration.

Port Spain, January 31th, 2025. At the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago, we welcomed a group of students from schools in Port of Spain today. During the meeting, we paid tribute to Cuba's National Hero on the 172nd anniversary of his birth.
