Courtesy visit to the Association of Caribbean States

Port of Spain, January 13, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Gustavo Veliz Olivares, was received at the headquarters of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) by its Secretary General, Ambassador Noemí Espinoza Madrid.

During the cordial meeting, they exchanged views on the Association's work prospects for the current year and the preparations for the XXX Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers and the X Summit of Heads of State, scheduled to take place in May in Cartagena de Indias.

66th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution Commemorated in Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain, January 3rd, 2025. As part of the activities marking the 66th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, Ambassador Gustavo Véliz Olivares gave statements to Trinidad and Tobago's state television station, TTT.

The local media expressed interest in learning about the achievements of the Cuban Revolution over the past six decades, the 52-year relationship with CARICOM countries, and Cuban medical cooperation in the Caribbean nations.

66th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution Celebrated in Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain, January 1st, 2025. Last night, the Cuban State Mission in Trinidad and Tobago celebrated the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution. A representation of the Cuban Medical Brigade (BMC) working in the country, along with the staff of the Embassy, welcomed the arrival of the new year.
