Scarborough, November 7, 2024. From November 7 to 8, the Cuban Ambassador, Gustavo Véliz Olivares, visited Tobago. As part of his program on the neighboring island, he held meetings with directors of the Scarborough General Hospital, the Hemodialysis Service at the Health Center in the island's capital, and the hospital in the Roxborough region—all facilities where Cuban collaborators provide services.

Port of Spain, October 19, 2024. At the event organized by the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS) in Port of Spain, the Cuban Embassy celebrated its Latin Night, showcasing part of Cuban culture through cinema, music, and dance.
In his address, Ambassador Gustavo Véliz highlighted that Cuba’s participation was dedicated to Cuban Culture Day, coinciding with the anniversary of the first performance of the national anthem during the country’s independence struggles.
