Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia attends activity of the Cuban Embassy for the Africa Day.

Monrovia, 29.05.2018-, With the presence of Mr. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, as the highest representative of the government of that country, took place on Monday the 28th the celebration, organized by the Cuban Embassy ​​ to commemorate Africa Day. As part of the presidency were also Mr. Prosper Nortey-Addo, political advisor of the African Union and the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, accompanied by the Second Secretary Carmen Maury. Ministers, current and former government officials, Ambassadors and other representatives of accredited African diplomatic missions in Liberia, Liberians graduated in Cuba and members of the press also attended the evening.

Was performed the screening of the documentary "Por la Vida", produced by the Studios of the Ministry of the Cuban Armed Forces, on the work and experiences of the Cuban doctors who served in West Africa during 2014-2015, in the struggle for the eradication of the Ebola outbreak. Cuban diplomats received numerous expressions of solidarity and gratitude, while advocating for the strengthening of Cuba-Africa relations. The presentation of the video culminated with an ovation in appreciation of the professionalism, dedication and solidarity of the Cuban health personnel, who demonstrated a true commitment to life.
