The Cuban Mission in Ethiopia organized a meeting with the participation of medical and educational collaborators, Cuban residents, diplomatic personnel and a representation of the members of the various associations of solidarity with Cuba in Ethiopia, to witness together the session of the IX Legislature of the National Assembly of the Popular Power, in which the new Council of State was made known and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez took office as the new President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba.
The activity was also an auspicious occasion to commemorate the 57th Anniversary of the Victory of Giron and to reaffirm the commitment of the Cuban people with the defense and advance of the revolutionary process, whose leadership has passed into the hands of the generation formed by the Revolution.
The Ethiopian friends present expressed their confidence in Cuba, in its historical leaders and in its subsequent generations to carry out a project that causes admiration throughout the world and that the Ethiopian graduates in our country claim and defend as their own.
In this context, the 10th anniversary of the formation of the Association of Solidarity with Cuba, "Caiman” was celebrated. Its members expressed the reasons that sustain their admiration and support for the largest of the Antilles and reiterated their gratitude to Fidel, to the Cuban people and to the Cuban Revolution for having trained them as professionals, which allows them today to render services for the development of their country.
