The Cuban ambassador to Turkmenistan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, gave an interview to the television channel "Turkmenistan" in which he discussed the economic blockade against Cuba and bilateral relations.
The diplomat to a TV question highlighted Cuba's thanks to the people of Turkmenistan for their support in the battle against the blockade that the United States applies for nearly six decades.
Nieves Portuondo said that the blockade imposed against Cuba continues to represent a brake for the development of all the potential of the economy of the Island.
The UN approved on November 7, the draft resolution: Need to end the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba, with 187 votes in favor; 3 against and 2 abstentions.
