Addis Ababa, April 7, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba in Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Peoples of Ethiopia, H.E. Mr. Tagesse Chaffo Dullo.
During the meeting, the Cuban ambassador highlighted the ties of cooperation that have united Ethiopia and Cuba for more than 40 years. Likewise, he highlighted the history of brotherhood that unites our peoples and that is expressed in the more than 5,000 Ethiopians who studied in Cuba and have welcomed the island as their second homeland. He also explained about the elections that take place in Cuba for the formation of the Cuban Parliament in its X Legislature.
Mr. Chafo thanked the island's diplomat for his visit and expressed his affection and admiration for the Cuban people, as well as his disposition to work to develop interparliamentary ties between the two countries.
