Ambassador of Cuba Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios initiates pays visit to Croatia

Zagreb, 9 October 2018. The Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Croatia, Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios held a meeting with Mr. Vice Skračić, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, as part of his program of his visit to Zagreb, capital of this European country.

The Cuban Ambassador took the opportunity to highlight the latest meeting held President of the Council of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and President of the Republic of Croatia Ms. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović on the occasion of their participation in the General Debate of the High-Level Segment of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the same time, the Cuban diplomat underlined that this first encounter between both presidents shows their willingness and mutual commitment to continue strengthening the bilateral relations in all areas of interest.

Cuba and Croatia celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations last year. They maintain ties of friendship having extensive potential and political will to increase bonds in economic and commercial sectors.
