Beirut, December 19, 2018. The President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, received in a solemn audience at the Baabda Palace, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, who presented the Credentials that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Lebanese Republic.
The cuban diplomat confirmed the Cuban government's willingness to develop and expand bilateral ties while expressing the honor of fulfilling its mission in a nation with a rich history. General Michel Aoun wished successes to the Cuban Ambassador in his performance and transferred his votes for the prosperity of Cuba.
On the Lebanese side, Chancellor Gebran Bassil and Foreign Secretary Hany Chemaitelly attended the meeting, while on the Cuban side, Councilor Raúl E. Madrigal Cárdenas and Odalys Capote Peña, wife of the Ambassador, attended.
