The delegation, representing women’s organizations, feminist groups, social movements, and friends of the solidarity movement, demanded an end to the U.S. blockade against the Caribbean island, which has been in place for more than 60 years.

On August 28 and 29, in the cities of Tyre and Tripoli, in southern and northern Lebanon, respectively, two events were held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, attended by top officials from the city governments and municipal councils, as well as other prominent figures from the arts and intellectual circles.
