Ambassador of Cuba presents his Letters of Credential to the Honorable President of India.

New Delhi, February 17, 2025. The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Juan Carlos Marsan Aguilera, presented his Letters of Credential to the Honorable President of the Republic of India, Her Excellency Mrs. Droupadi Murmu.

During the solemn ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Presidential Palace, President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the warm friendly relations between the two countries, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic links. She emphasized the common positions and principles shared in defense of sovereignty and the causes of the Global South, as well as cooperation within the framework of the NAM and other multilateral spaces. She also recognized the progress achieved by our country in sectors such as health, science and education, despite the various obstacles faced.

The Cuban Ambassador conveyed to the President a message of friendship from the Cuban Government and people, and especially from the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez. He appreciated India's support by sending donations of active pharmaceutical ingredients and medicines, as well as for the historic support to our Resolution against the criminal blockade of the US government, within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly. Finally, the Cuban diplomat expressed his willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations with emphasis on the development of economic and cooperation ties.
