Ambassador meets with Ethiopian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson

Addis Ababa, February 9, 2026.- The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Meylin Suárez Álvarez, met with the spokesperson for the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Nebiat Getachew Assegid, during which they discussed key aspects and preparations for the events planned for the upcoming 39th African Union Summit.

In this context, the Ambassador praised the host country's excellent preparations for this important continental event.

They also reaffirmed the excellent state of relations between Cuba and Africa, based on mutual respect, solidarity, and historical cooperation.
