Ambassador in Nigeria highlights achievements of the Cuban Revolution

Nigeria, April 27, 2023- Given the disinformation campaign that different media are organizing against Cuba, the Cuban ambassador in Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, gave a press conference before different Nigerian media to update on a group of issues of the Cuban reality and at the same time denounce the genocidal policy of the US administration towards the Cuban people.

During it, the Cuban diplomat discussed the Cuban electoral process and the results of the recent elections held on April 19, she also referred to the state of relations between the US and Cuba, about the disinformation campaign that is unleashed against the people Cuba, the intensification of the genocidal blockade, its effects and how annually in the United Nations most countries support the Cuban resolution against that policy despite the fact that the US administration does not comply with what is demanded in that international organization.

In this sense, she thanked the African countries for supporting Cuba within the framework of the African Union and the United Nations, particularly Nigeria, which has invariably voted against this genocidal policy, as part of the great bloc of countries that every year they demand end to the blockade.

 The Cuban ambassador also highlighted the commemoration of the 62nd Anniversary of the Victory in “Playa Girón” and the role of Cuba at the head of the presidency of the G77 + China, in which she highlighted the events that are being organized during 2023.

In addition to the journalists present, representatives of the Nigerian solidarity platform with Cuba also participated, which includes members of the Nigerian Labor unions, graduates in Cuba and Cuban residents. In addition, the officials of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Abuja were also present.
