Ambassador participates in swearing-in ceremonies of Prime Minister and Cabinet Minister in Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain, May 3, 2025.  Ambassador Gustavo Véliz attended the swearing-in ceremonies of the newly elected Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and the ministers who make up the new Cabinet of the UNC, the party won generals election held last April 28 in Trinidad and Tobago. 

At the House of the President of the Republic, the Cuban diplomat conveyed fraternal greetings to Sean Sobers, Minister of Foreign Affairs and CARICOM Affairs; Dr. Lackram Bodoe, Minister of Health and Nicholas Morris, Parliamentary Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, Hon. Khadijah Ameen; Minister of Agriculture, Lands and Fisheries, Hon. Ravi Ratiram; Minister of Culture and Community, Hon. Michelle Benjamin. He also reiterated the willingness to deepen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two peoples and governments.
