Addis Ababa, June 4, 2025.- The ambassadors of the Republic of Cuba to Ethiopia and the African Union, Meylín Suárez and Lucas D. Hernández, held a fruitful meeting with the Secretary-General of the Organization for South Cooperation (OSC), Mr. Manssour Bin Mussallam, following his recent visit to Havana to participate in the second edition of the International Scientific Convention (Saber UH 2025).
During the meeting, impressions were shared about the dialogues and sessions held at the macro-level of the Convention and its characterization as a space for scientific and technical exchange.
The Secretary-General praised the experience of Cuba as an example of South-South cooperation and emphasized the potential of the new cooperation paradigm, based on solidarity and mutual benefit.
This meeting reaffirms Cuba's active role, inspired and dedicated to promoting knowledge and cooperation as tools of emancipation and development. Cuba advocates for the construction of a shared agenda among southern nations and defends its presence in international spaces with concrete impact participation in the countries of the South.
