Appreciation to Cuba for granting medical scholarships to Palestinian students residing in Lebanon

During a simple and emotional meeting at the headquarters of the Cuban mission in Beirut, Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz officially handed over the respective files to Palestinian students Malak Khudeir and Wajeh Matar, who will travel to Cuba to begin their medical studies in the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Cuban diplomat offered them information of interest and stressed that despite the intensified US blockade, the Cuban revolution extends its solidarity and strengthens the bonds of brotherhood between the Cuban and Palestinian peoples, while wishing them success in their studies so that, once they graduate, they can serve their communities wherever they may be.

Both students expressed their deep appreciation for this gesture of solidarity and pledged to devote themselves to their studies in order to continue contributing to the strengthening of ties between our peoples.

As part of its foreign policy and internationalist collaboration, the Cuban revolution has always shown its commitment to contribute to the training of health professionals in friendly and needy countries.
