Monrovia, October 16, 2018-, Within the framework of the press conference convened by the Cuban diplomatic headquarters to present the Report of Cuba to Resolution 72/4 that demands the ending of the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba imposed by United States, the young graduate in Cuba William Wesseh, member of the Executive of the Association of Friendship Liberia-Cuba, read a statement of his organization in solidarity with the fatherland of Martí.
In the declaration, the friends of Cuba reject the sanctions against Cuba and recognize the right to self-determination to the Greater Antilles when describing as "atrocious and inhuman act on the side of the Government of the United States of America to continue with the imposition of the economic Blockade against on the Government and people Cuban for selecting their own destiny (Socialism)".
In his speech, spokesman Wesseh also states the achievements of the Caribbean island: "We have learned that Cuba with Socialism have been able to zero illiteracy and that Cuba have been able to provide free quality health for all Cubans across Cuba", while exhorting the Northern power to contribute to the existence of a more equitable, prosperous and just world using "her financial and technological resources to eradicate poverty, hunger, preventable diseases and other scourges as Cuba does, with its mega resources".
