Azerbaijani embassy to be established in Cuba

Azerbaijani President Iljam Aliyev signed a Law on the establishment of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Cuba, located in Havana, diplomatic sources in this capital reported today.

On the agenda of the first plenary session of the Azerbaijani Parliament was a bill on the establishment of the Azerbaijani embassy in Cuba, they specified.

The opening of the embassy would make an important contribution to the development of relations between the two countries, highlighted local political experts.

After discussions, the bill was adopted by majority vote. Currently, a diplomatic representation of this Caucasian nation operates in Cuba.
