According to AZERTAC, during a vote at the United Nations Organization (UN) held on Wednesday, 187 member states voted to end the embargo, which is called a blockade in Cuba, while Brazil and Israel joined States United to vote against. Colombia and Ukraine abstained. "Voices of the world united against the blockade of Cuba," Díaz-Canel wrote on Twitter.
The media also stresses that it is the twenty-eighth time that the UN General Assembly adopts a resolution calling for the end of the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States against Cuba in the era of the Cold War.
