The Bahamas and Cuba strengthen educational cooperation.

Nassau, April 17, 2024. Cuban Ambassador Julio César González Marchante and the representative of the educational collaboration Ángela San Martín Corrales farewell at the international airport to a delegation from the Ministries of Education and Labor and Public Services, which traveled to Cuba to talk on the educational collaboration developed by both countries, and to interview possible candidates to try as teachers in the national education system.

For more than 20 years consecutively, Cuban teachers of different subjects and at different levels, including special education, have been contributing to the education of the Bahamian people. Likewise, the experience acquired by Antillean educators has been exceptional for their professional training. Currently there are more than one hundred collaborators working on nine islands of the Bahamian archipelago.

The Cuban diplomat thanked the authorities and the Bahamian people for the opportunity offered all these years to develop this cooperation, and ratified the willingness to continue expanding it as it is a reciprocal interest.
