Nassau, May 31, 2025. Cuban health professionals, members of the Medical Brigade working in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, held a Scientific Conference under the theme "When science unites hearts, borders disappear and the health of the people flourishes." Twelve research papers of interest related to the work of the cooperators in their daily practice were presented at the event, four of them in poster format.
Nassau, May 29, 2025. Representatives of the GeoCuba business group and Cuba Rum Cake Factory Ltd. spent several days developing a work program to explore and define sectors of mutual interest to both parties.
As an initial result of interesting discussions and meetings that included other entities in the country, such as the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers' Confederation, two agreements were signed that facilitate the initiation of potential actions in common areas, which the various companies comprising the Cuban entity and its Bahamian counterpart can implement.
Nassau, April 8, 2025. Teachers from the Cuban Educational Brigade in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas held a Scientific-Methodological Workshop under the theme "No Lecturer Left Behind: A Professional Model for Advancing the Practitioners as a Researcher", in which eleven interesting papers related to the daily work and research of educators were presented.
Nassau, March 25, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Julio César González Marchante, participated in a diplomatic activity organized by the Corps of Honorary Consuls in the country, with the new Police Commissioner, Shanta Knowles, as special guest.
In her keynote address, the Guest of Honor highlighted the main strategies she proposes with her team and in coordination with other government entities and the population to address the high crime rates in the country and advance the goal of Creating Safe Communities.
Nassau, February 25, 2025. At the Excellence in Education Awards Ceremony held in the Bahamas, two members of the Cuban educational collaboration are awarded, Yoangel Perodin López (Special Education nominated for the Innovation Award and Joel Antonio Isaac La O (agriculture teacher nominated for the Empowerment Award).
Nassau, February 23, 2025. Once again from the Bahamas, voices of solidarity were raised in condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba and rejection of the attack of the new United States government against the Cuban people.
From the middle of 2021 until today, every last Sunday of the month, fellow citizens, with solidarity friends and graduates in Cuba gather in a caravan to join the world demand until the sanctions are lifted.
Nassau, February 5, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to the Bahamas, Julio César González Marchante, received the President of the Bahamas Union of Teachers (BUT) Belinda Wilson, at the diplomatic headquarters, with whom he had an interesting dialogue on educational matters.

Nassau, December 18, 2024. Cuban Medical Services officials visiting The Bahamas, Dr. Eucalia Mantilla Cañizares and Esther Hernández Ferguson, were received upon their arrival by the Cuban ambassador Julio César González Marchante and Dr. Danixia Novoa Sotomayor coordinator of Cuban health cooperation.
Nassau, December 14, 2024. A frank and open conversation took place between Cubans residing in The Bahamas in a meeting held at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy.
The attendees addressed topics of interest under the principle of respect and love for the homeland where they were born. The unity of all Cubans was the guiding thread of the debate, with the consensus to promote diverse actions between generations settled in the Bahamas taking precedence.
