Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Inés Maria Chapman continues her activities in The Bahamas on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of independence.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Aviation and Investment H.E Chester Cooper, the Minister of Education Glenys Hanna-Martin and the Minister of Labor and Public Services Alfred Sears received, separately, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba Inés Mary Chapman Waugh.

Nassau, July 9. Responding to an invitation from the government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba Inés María Chapman Waugh, heads an official Cuban delegation that participates in the activities for the 50th Anniversary of the Independence of the Caribbean nation.

Nassau, June 26. The Minister of Labor and Immigration of The Bahamas, the Honorable Keith R. Bell received Cuban Ambassador Julio César González Marchante at the headquarters of that Ministry, with whom he held a working meeting to examine the migratory situation in the region and between the two countries.

In the cordial meeting, both parties reiterated the importance of ensuring the application of the approved mechanism to address illegal immigration and hold new migratory talks soon for the benefit of good bilateral relations.

Cuban Ambassador participates in the graduation of the Bahamas International School.

Nassau, June 16, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to the Bahamas, Julio César González Marchante, attended, as a guest speaker, at the graduation of the San Pedro International School, an educational institution with which the Cuban diplomatic mission has been working for several years.

Familiarization trips for teachers and students to the Island, exchanges on history and the Spanish language, the Center's curricular subject, as well as participation in international events and contests convened by Cuba have been some of the joint activities developed.

Cuban ambassador participates in the celebration of the Annual Day of Foreign Languages in the Bahamas

Nassau, March 24th, 2023. Within the framework of World Languages ​​Week, Cuban Ambassador Julio César González Marchante participated in the 19th Annual Celebration of Foreign Languages ​​Day, sponsored by the Department of Languages ​​of the University of the Bahamas.

The Bahamas and Cuba agree to strengthen cooperation in health

Nassau, March 17th, 2023. The Minister of Health and Welfare of The Bahamas Dr. Michael Darville presented specific actions to expand the collaboration that the two countries are currently developing, in a friendly meeting with the Cuban ambassador to the Bahamas, Julio César González Marchante, at the headquarters of that Ministry.

In correspondence with new infrastructures and the expansion of public health services in the country, Cuban professionals will be selected to work in areas such as biomedical engineering, radiology, epidemiology, medical laboratories, and nursing.

Cuban ambassador gives a lecture on the History of Cuba to Bahamian students.

Nassau, February 6th, 2023. Fulfilling an invitation from the directors of the San Pedro International School in Nassau, the Cuban ambassador Julio César González Marchante, held a dialogue on the Cuban Revolution with 12th grade students, in the turn corresponding to the history class.

A group of Cuban teachers residing in the country work at the educational Center and there is a tradition of joint work with the Diplomatic mission. The students of that Center have regularly participated in contests and tributes to José Martí.
