Cuban ambassador participates in the celebration of the Annual Day of Foreign Languages in the Bahamas

Nassau, March 24th, 2023. Within the framework of World Languages ​​Week, Cuban Ambassador Julio César González Marchante participated in the 19th Annual Celebration of Foreign Languages ​​Day, sponsored by the Department of Languages ​​of the University of the Bahamas.

The activity had a cultural program where students and teachers presented songs, poems and dramatizations, in the various languages ​​that are studied at the university center. From the Cuban national poet Nicolás Guillén, a group of four students commented on his work Cantos para soldados y sones para turistas and recited his well-known poetry No sé Por qué Piensas tú.

In words of gratitude for the invitation to the auditorium, the Cuban diplomat expressed Cuba's willingness to continue strengthening the scientific-educational exchange between the two countries in various ways. He also participated in the awards ceremony for outstanding professors and spoke with the President and Executive Director of the High Center for Studies, Ph.D Erik Rolland, where an upcoming meeting was agreed to outline new possible bilateral collaboration actions.
