Nassau, October 22, 2024. The Bahamian health minister Dr. Michael Darville and the Cuban ambassador to this country Julio César González Marchante held a working meeting to assess the current collaboration both nations are developing.
During the friendly meeting, they highlighted the positive results of the present cooperation for both parties and the intention to expand it into new areas of interest for the respective peoples.
Likewise, natural phenomena and other problems that affect our countries and the region were discussed, and it was ratified the support of The Bahamas in Cuba's battle to lift the blockade imposed for six decades on its people, which hinders its development.
Aubynette Rolle, director of the Public Hospitals Authority, the director of the Department of Public Health, Dr. Phillip Swann, and the Head of the Financial Department, Sylvia Lightbourne, participated in the meeting.
