Book on Fidel Unveiled in Lebanese Cities to Mark the Centennial of His Birth
On August 28 and 29, in the cities of Tyre and Tripoli, in southern and northern Lebanon, respectively, two events were held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, attended by top officials from the city governments and municipal councils, as well as other prominent figures from the arts and intellectual circles.
During the moving ceremonies, the book *Socialism and Man in Cuba*, written by Natasha Terlixis and featuring the leaders Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, was presented in Arabic. The author emphasized the significance of the Cuban Revolution and international solidarity among peoples.
Greek trade unionist Natasha Terlixis is the director of the Dithynes Vima Publishing House in Athens and the author of 17 books on the Cuban Revolution.
During the events, various speakers discussed the ideas of Fidel and Che Guevara, and attendees reaffirmed their solidarity with the Cuban Revolution. They also debated the similarities and parallels in resilience between the Cuban and Lebanese experiences and how to confront the blockade and other challenges in order to achieve a better world.
