A business meeting between Cuba and India in the renewable energy sector was held in New Delhi organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
The director of Renewable Energy Sources Generation of the National Electric Union (UNE), Ovel Concepción Díaz, who heads a trade delegation in this sector, presented to a group of Indian businessmen the opportunities for joint business and investment in Cuba. He also explained the strategy for the expansion of renewable energies in Cuba and the different existing mechanisms and facilities for business in this priority area of development.
Several Indian companies of the sector were present in the exchange, which showed different interests and exchanged information.
The meeting is part of the program developed by the delegation of the renewable energy sector, made up of executives and officials of UNE, Energoimport and the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Cuba.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Alejandro Simancas Marín and officials of the diplomatic mission of Cuba in Delhi also participated. The head of FICCI's Latin America and Caribbean Division, Mr. Imran Khan, headed the Federation's representation, accompanied by other officials of the association.
