The CDRs receive a donation from Canada.

The Canadian Network on Cuba sent to Cuba a donation of 30,000 surgical sutures and 10,000 electrodes for electrocardiograms, delivered by the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) to the Ministry of Public Health.

This container, shipped from China and then sailed to the Greater Antilles, spent months traveling to avoid millionaire fines, due to the hostile policy implemented by the U.S. government against the island.

“Cubacan Project” emerged in 2011 and since its inception is coordinated by Canadian friend Bill Ryan. This project, together with Canadian solidarity organizations, has donated to Cuba more than 500 bicycles; carpentry tools; baseball bats used in national series; sports equipment; musical instruments and school materials, as well as 2,400 canes for the visually impaired and a Braille typewriter that have been delivered by CDR to various Cuban institutions.
